Race Information

Cycle:

Drafting is allowed with cyclists only, as the race is a mass cycle start.

Cycle safety helmets MUST be worn.

Road rules must be obeyed.

Roads will not be closed.

Run:

Drink stations will be provided on this section.

Kayak:

Paddler may use any single Kayak, Canoe or Surf Ski and MUST wear a Lifejacket or Buoyancy Aid.

All Kayaks should have at least one end loop.

Each competitor in a team must complete their own discipline.

 Entries close Tuesday 13th January, 2009

 Late fees will apply after this date.

Registration:  7.00am - 8.30am, Saturday 17th

Race Briefing:  9.00am - 9.15am

Race Start:  9.30am

Race timing starts at the sale yards.

NB:  These take place at the Dannevirke Rugby Park, Gertrude Street, Dannevirke.

Prize Giving:  At approx - 3.00 - 3.30pm at Akitio

Refreshments:  The Akitio Community will have food and refreshments for sale at the beach from 11.30 onwards.

All competitors must attend race briefing for safety rules and regulations.

Race starts at 9.30am at the Dannevirke Rugby Park, Gertrude Street, Dannevirke
