Dannevirke To Akitio 2007

The Course

Stage 1:

55 km Cycle

Over sealed roads with a number of hills. Neutralized start up High Street, left at by-pass then onto Millars Street and right to Waione, then left into River Road for 4 kms.

Stage 2:

13 km Run

On flat to undulating sealed road

Stage 3:

12 km Kayak

Flat water paddle with a compulsory portage at the weir, where the river becomes tidal. Paddle continues down river, under the bridge and out at Moanaroa Woolshed where you exit with kayak and run approx 2km along beach or road to finish.

Running shoes will be required.
